The American Cancer Society recently received nearly $4,000 from The Smith Financial Group. Funds raised for Relay for Life support the American Cancer Society's efforts to fight against cancer, celebrate survivors and remember those who have succumbed to the disease.

"Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and its Financial Representatives seek to improve the quality of life for the Greater Baton Rouge community," said Managing Director Cale Smith. "We are honored to be part of the American Cancer Society's efforts for the third consecutive year."

The Smith Financial Group not only raised $4,000 during their year-long fundraising campaign, but donated hours of time running laps at the 2008 Relay event. Fundraising efforts for the 2009 Relay for Life event are already underway.
