Cale Smith, CLTC Office ProfileCale P. Smith, CLTC, became Managing Director for Northwestern Mutual of Louisiana – Baton Rouge in 2007. Cale was introduced to Northwestern Mutual in 2000 by Steven Dugal, current Managing Partner over the state of Louisiana. Under his headship, the Baton Rouge office experienced remarkable growth in productivity, recruitment and the development of new representatives to serve the community.
Cale joined Northwestern Mutual in 2000 after graduating from Southern University with a Recreational Therapy degree. He distinguished himself as an extremely successful Financial Representative, earning some of the Company’s highest honors. Among his many sales achievements, Cale earned the National Achievement Sales Award from 2006-2007 as well as the National Quality Award for Persistency from 2001-2009.He also worked to better himself professionally by earning the Certified in Long Term Care designation.
Cale entered leadership as a College Unit Director in 2003. He was soon promoted to Field Unit Director in 2004 where he was responsible for training and developing Financial Representatives. Cale followed his passion for leadership and talent which led to his Baton Rouge appointment in 2007.
As Managing Director, Cale is in charge of the Network Office’s sales and service operations for Baton Rouge. His proven ability in mentoring, leadership, recruiting, and productivity serve him well as he leads Northwestern Mutual of Louisiana – Baton Rouge District Network Office.
Cale and his wife, Katherine, have four children, Jake, Ben, Claire, and Gabe. As a family, they enjoy traveling, hunting, fishing and being together.
